Sailing Koh Chang National Park and Island Hopping Thailand

Day 1 >> KOH CHANG – KOH RAYA – KOH MAK (-/L/D)

Transfer from your hotel to pier on Koh Chang and depart to Koh Mak. From Koh Mak transfer to the small island of Rayang for snorkeling and swimming. This small island has a fantastic powdery white beach. Enjoy the morning swimming or snorkeling on the beach. Lunch at Koh Rayang Resort’s restaurant. Later in the afternoon we continue our journey by boat to Koh Mak, where we will spend the following 2 nights. Koh Mak covers 16 sq km, and is located between Koh Chang and Koh Kood. The island is covered by coconut and rubber plantations, which next to fishing constitutes the main source of income for the local villagers. There are a few cement roads on the island, but traffic is limited to a couple of motorbikes and pick?up trucks. There are no shopping centers, super markets, banks or ATM machines. Tourists usually get around on foot or on hired bicycles or motorbikes. Dinner and overnight on Koh Mak.

 

Day 2 >> KOH MAK – KHO RANG – KOH MAK (B/L/-)

After breakfast, we take a boat trip to the islands of Koh Rang, popular among divers and snorkel enthusiasts. We enjoy lunch on the boat and in the afternoon we return back to Koh Mak. Overnight on Koh Mak.

Day 3 >> KOH MAK – KOH KOOD (B/-/D)

Today we travel by boat to Koh Kood. Situated 80 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital of Trat, Koh Kood is the farthest island from the mainland. It is also the easternmost island of Thailand bordering Cambodia. With an area of 129 square kilometers, Koh Kood is the second largest island in the Koh Chang Marine National Park and fourth largest in Thailand, after Phuket, Koh Samui and Koh Chang. Transfer to your resort. Rest of day at leisure. Dinner and overnight on Koh Kood.

Day 4 >> KOH KOOD (B/L/-)

Today we tour the island on local pick up trucks and visit some of the most attractive beaches, the islands waterfall Klong Chao, where you can swim in the fresh water and the oldest fishing village at Ao Salat. Here the pirates came from the sea between Thailand and Cambodia in the old days. We enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon, we return back to the resort for leisure. Overnight on Koh Kood.

Day 5 >> KOH KOOD – KOH CHANG (B/-/-)

After breakfast, transfer to the pier and boat transfer to Laem Sok pier on mainland Trad. From here transfer to Trat Airport / Trat City. If you wish to return to Ko Chang, a transfer can be arranged from the resort to pier on Ko Chang. Guests may also choose to extend their stay on Ko Kood and return to Ko Chang by speedboat, departing every day.

Daily departure between November and end of April from Koh Chang with English speaking guide (minimum 2 persons).
