Hongs by Day, Hongs by Night, beach camping under the stars, the Krabi sunrise, and rarely visited exotic limestone islands in the far reaches of the East Bay – the Expedition Express is a rapid-fire overview of Phang Nga’s World Class Natural Drama. Dazzle your mind by combining the “Classic Day Trip” or “Hong by Starlight” with guided overnight beach camping in Phang Nga Bay followed the next morning by a Day in the Islands circumnavigation of greater Phang Nga Bay. Packed with exotic Thai marine limestone, both sides of the Bay are completely different. A “Caves and Hongs” theme rules the first day, while the second day is a “Monument Valley sunken in the Sea”.

ITINERARY

Day 1 > PHUKET – PHANG NGA BAY (-/-/D)

13:30 PM Hotel Pick-Up.

With favorable tides later in the day, we pick you up right after lunch (or direct from the airport) to join our Hong by Starlight program. Start by exploring Phang Nga’s caves and hongs in the un-crowded afternoon. We enjoy the sunset with a great Thai seafood buffet, and then re-enter the caves and hongs after dark for the very special Hong by Starlight experience. No torches please - three natural light sources and one special feeling create a lifetime memorable moment. We drop you off at your beach campsite for a relaxing evening under the stars.

Day 2 > PHANG NGA BAY – PHUKET (B/L/-)

Rise early and watch the sunrise over the bay. Full Breakfast with fresh brewed coffee, gourmet breadbasket, muesli and fruit. Start your morning Phang Nga Bay paddle and finish before the crowds arrive. Your fast long-tail boat arrives to explore the Krabi side of Phang Nga Bay. Circumnavigate the Bay in just one day in our long-tail escort boat – traditional, cabined, close to the water – and fast. Throw some kayaks on the cabin and go with a small group of good people, two great guides and a bay filled with bizarre and dramatic limestone. Arrive at the first island and circumnavigate it in kayaks. Return to the escort boat and move to the next island, which has excellent white sand beaches. Enjoy a traditional Thai picnic lunch on the beach, then move on to the third island and paddle into a “hong” (cave). Return to the boat and depart for Ao Po pier on Phuket from where we will transfer you to your hotel on Phuket Island.

Our package tour prices are inclusive of transfers and boat trips with English-speaking guide, National Park entrance fees, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), overnight in tents, service charges and VAT.

Not included are other meals than mentioned in the program, surcharges for compulsory gala dinners, optional tours, expenditures of personal nature
