Joint tour: Daily departure from Chiang Mai City hotels with English-speaking guide - minimum 2 persons.

The 40-room Hmong Hilltribe Lodge located in the hills north of Chiang Mai offers visitors a unique chance to experience exotic hill tribe atmosphere in relative comfort. Overnight stay at the Lodge featuring B.B.Q. dinner and cultural presentations by the Hmong Hill tribe are part of this 2 days /1 night Hill tribe adventure.

ITINERARY

Day 1 > CHIANG MAI - HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE (-/L/D)

Leave Chiang Mai by Land Rover to visit the hill tribe museum at Mae Rim and an elephant working site. Watch the elephants take their daily bath in the stream before beginning to haul timber. You will be amazed by their strength and clever teamwork. Continue to an orchid farm. After lunch at a local restaurant, depart for Ban Nong Hoi Mai and Ban Meo Mae Khi to visit the Hmong hill tribe villages.

A brief stop is made at the Royal Project, where the local minority groups learn how to grow vegetables and flowers. B.B.Q. dinner at the lodge, followed by a presentation of Meo dances, songs and ceremonies. Overnight at the HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE.

Day 2 > HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE - CHIANG MAI (B/L/-)

The morning is at leisure to discover the activities in the nearby hill tribe village. Leave the lodge and drive uphill towards Samoeng to Hand Dong with lunch at a resort en route. Continue to the handicraft workshops at Baan Tawai (Hang Dong) and get an insider's view of Chiang Mai crafts people at work. Return transfer to your hotel in Chiang Mai, the airport or the railway station.

Our package tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours by LANDROVER (4WD) with English-speaking guide, baggage handling, entrance fees, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), accommodation in non-air conditioned room with hot/cold shower at the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, service charges and VAT.

Not included are other meals than mentioned in the program, optional tours and expenditures of a personal nature.

Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on road conditions and availability of rooms.
