ITINERARY

Day 1 > CHIANG MAI - MAE HONG SON (-/L/D)

Pick up at your hotel in Chiang Mai and transfer to the airport for your flight to Mae Hong Son. Arrival in Mae Hong Son and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Burmese-style temples Wat Jong Kham and Wat Jong Klang, located next to a large pond in the southern part of town. Wat Jong Kham was built nearly 200 years ago by Shan people who make up about 50% of the population of Mae Hong Son. Wat Jong Klang houses 100-year-old glass paintings and woodcarvings from Burma, which depict the various lives of Buddha. Afterwards drive uphill to visit Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kong Moo, which on clear days offers a beautiful view over Mae Hong Son. Dinner and overnght at TARA MAE HONG SON HOTEL or FERN RESORT.

Day 2 > MAE HONG SON (B/L/D)

After breakfast, depart for the Fish Cave, where numerous carps of strange colors can be seen. Continue to visit the Khaya (Karen) hill tribe village of Ban Nai Soi. Change onto elephants for a one-hour ride through the forest to the Padong village, home of the Long necked tribe (Giraffe Women), who wear numerous brass rings around their elongated necks. Picnic lunch will be provided. Continue to Sop Soi by truck and then change onto a long-tail motor boat for a one hour trip from the hanging bridge down the Pai River to Ban Huay Dua. Arrival at the Mae Hong Sorn Resort boat landing and transfer by truck to the hotel. Dinner at Bai Fern Restaurant. Overnight at TARA MAE HONG SON HOTEL or FERN RESORT.

Day 3 > MAE HONG SON – CHIANG MAI (B/L/-)

Visit to the morning market. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Drive southwards to visit the "Meo Micro Wave" hill tribe village located on a steep mountain next to a relay station, from where the village got its name. Transfer to the airport. Depart Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

Our package tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours by car / minibus / pick up truck with English-speaking guide, baggage handling, entrance fees, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), accommodation in air conditioned room with bath, service charges and VAT.

Not included other meals than mentioned in the program, surcharges for compulsory gala dinners, optional tours, expenditures of personal nature and domestic air tickets. Domestic air tickets will be issued by AMAZING SEA-TOURS and charged separately.

Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on road conditions and availability of rooms.
