Course: Every Friday from Chiang Mai.


Thai massage has been one of the ancients healing arts of traditional Thai medicine. In the past decades, the general public - and, more recently, a rapidly growing number of people outside Thailand- have shown increasing interest in Thai massage.

OBJECTIVE:

At the end of the course in Thai Foot Massage students will be able to:
understand the benefits of Thai foot massage, perform 13 foot warming techniques to stimulate circulation and energy, identify location for 36 reflexology points, how to handle and perform foot massage using wooden stick on reflexology points, perform legs, hands, arms, shoulder and neck massage to complete total relaxation, perform complete sequences of 1 hour Thai Foot Massage for relaxation.
 

ITINERARY:

DAY 1 FRI  Upon arrival at Chiang Mai airport, transfer to your hotel in Chiang Mai. In the evening, we invite you for a typical Chiang Mai dinner at “Just Khao Soy” Restaurant (choice of meat and vegetarian dishes are available). Afterwards, visit the famous Night Bazaar and transfer back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

DAY 2 SAT Breakfast. Transfer by local songtaw (provided by the school) to the Massage School.
Classroom Hours: 09.00-16.00 hrs
Lunch Break: 11.45-13.00 hrs (vegetarian lunch at school’s canteen)

DAY 3 SUN Breakfast. Transfer by local songtaw (provided by the school) to the Massage School.

Lunch Break: 11.45-13.00 hrs (vegetarian lunch at school’s canteen)

Written examination (20 minutes)

Transfer to Chiang Mai airport for your departure flight (please book a flight departing Chiang Mai after 18:30 hrs).

TEACHING PROCESS:
Demonstration performs in details explanation on each technique. Students pair up to practice under closed teachers’ supervision. At the end of the day, the teachers will response to students’ questions on particular techniques and review them in the group. Teachers will perform pressure strength test with each student to ensure quality and safety in Thai Foot Massage. Massage charts are provided in each class to assist during demonstration and practice.

NOTE: During supervised practice, the teachers assist and correct students’ performance to ensure proper massage techniques and for safety. The teachers will evaluate students’ ability to perform each lesson during the training.

Remark: Sequence of class schedule subject to minor change according to circumstances. However, the content and the effectiveness remain the same.

Our package tour prices are inclusive of return airport transfers in Chiang Mai (joint transfer), 1 Set dinner at “Just Khao Soy” Restaurant and visit of Chiang Mai Night Bazaar inclusive of hotel transfers, 2 nights accommodation including breakfast at selected hotels on twin-share basis (for single travelers a surcharge applies for single room accommodation), course fee, applicable government taxes, transportation between hotels within the city and the Massage School by school’s “songtaew” (local pick-up truck style transportation), clothing during the duration of the course, vegetarian meal during lunch break at school’s canteen, handling fee.

Not included are airfare to/from Chiang Mai, meals other than mentioned in the itinerary, compulsory Gala dinners at hotels during festive seasons (charges will be advised upon booking), personal expenses (laundry, phone calls, souvenirs, beverages etc).
